Words to live by

I'm not a sucker for deep thoughts, evidenced by this blog. But, sometimes a talented soul captures the essence of being so poignantly and cleverly that you have to stop, drop and roll with it.

I just got back from a week-long vacation to Costa Rica. One day, we drove to Montezuma -- a remote fishing village in the Puntarenas Province known for its hippie vibe. While there, I had a kick-ass burrito at El Sano Banano -- a cool little restaurant serving up amazingly refreshing drinks. When I ventured inside, some artwork caught my eye.

The sayings are the work of a woman named Sami Sunchild -- "a global citizen and social innovator" whose creative talents "have long been focused in behalf of a better world."

Sounds pretty fluffy, but I dig her thinking.

Love the one about travel. It's an interesting concept - her thoughts about being selfless and quiet in your travel experiences ...

Hit home while I experience a bunch of foreigners in a country that is not their own ...

Can I borrow that image to post about myself?
