Bon Jour from the Chateau!

Mike won't like this post. "Everyone will know we're away. We'll get robbed!" Well, I'm all for letting people do their jobs. So, ADT, let's see how good you are. Plus, my neighbors are watering my basil plant. So, if you're in our house, I'm pretty sure they'll see you. But, since we live in the midwest where everyone is so nice, you'll probably get invited to our block party instead of thrown in jail.

Right now, we're in a Chateau nestled in the mountains of the Poconos. Sounds lovely and it is lovely -- especially if you think the 1970s were lovely. Evidently, someone forgot to call the designer and request an upgrade. Neil Sedaka just might have made his mid-70s comeback here. Nonetheless, we've got an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, an arcade and our quaint hotel room is a loft. The kids think the circular staircase is the coolest thing. They might never want to go home.

As I type this, Madan exclaimed, "I didn't know Diego was on this EARLY!" Oops. We're spoiling them. "How about if we watch the Today show instead?" Okay. Maybe not. Mike's back in control. The family is now watching a segment on RV vacations. My bet is Madan will probably stop saving his allowance up for a Nintendo DS and put it towards the Airstream Motel instead.

We're leaving the hotel today. It's just a pit stop en route to our final destination of Darien, CT for an annual friends & family reunion. So, if I don't post for a few days, it's because I'm doing what any parent at a reunion among really good friends would do.
