I hit Target, but totally missed the mark

Okay, Doobies. It's official. Your Mama is a supreme ignoramus. Let's hope some of the genetic material you got from Dad starts to dominate. Otherwise, there is no hope. You is all doomed to a life of burnt potato chip sorting.

A few weeks ago, I hit Target in search of a cute Easter dress for Kaila. Nothing too froo froo. Something simple that she could get some mileage from. I found this great cotton tie-dye dress which I promptly purchased and packed for our trip to Nani and Nana's.

On Easter Sunday, the kids hunted for eggs in their PJs, ate the bounty and then changed into their duds for the day. Or so I thought. My friend Robyn set me straight as you'll see from the FB thread below. Oh, Kaila. I've done you wrong.

Now, my Mom made some heinous wardrobe malfunctions for me growing up. (4th-grade picture. Awful bright green dress.) But, she never made the mistake I did last Sunday. I sometimes wonder if I've got enough brains left to be a Mom. Not a good Mom. Just a Mom.

Oy vey.

The good news is that Kaila loved her "dress." This is definitely one for the scrapbooks. Good thing I don't make scrapbooks.

Kaila in her pajamas Easter morning.

Kaila in her, um, pajamas Easter afternoon.

The indisputable proof. F me.
