Merry XXXmas!

Slide 2
Sharing is caring and caring is fun. But, not caring what you’re sharing is so much more fun!

With that in mind, here’s our XXXmas update. Enjoy! 2009 was a year of ch-ch-ch-changes for the Morris peeps. No, we
didn’t start stuttering. But, we’re sure the kids will after we move to Birmingham, MI. Poor Doobies. At least Mike and I have beer to help us cope. The Doobies, on the other hand, are stuck swiggin’ juice. Sucks to be them.

We’re thrilled to share that
Kaila discovered the entire alphabet. Last year she only knew the letters “H,” “O,” and “M.” At first that was cute, but we got tired of explaining why all her family drawings had “homo” written underneath. Coincidentally, Kaila also had had her head examined this year. For real. Luckily, her Ataxia was temporary and tests confirmed what we’ve long suspected: she’s normally abnormal and truly Sonali’s daughter. Finally, genetic proof!

Madan
started Kindergarten and is now smarter than all of us combined. We, too, found that hard to believe, but that’s what he says and he’s always right – just like his mother. He’s gained some valuable knowledge riding the bus as well. From flipping the bird in Cosi to memorizing every word to Don’t Stop Believin’ – those hours of transportation are priceless. Hopefully, some kid on the bus will teach him about sex, too. That would save us years of awkwardness – and lying.

Mike
received an incredibly thoughtful gift from his company – a forced sabbatical. As a result, he discovered what Sonali did all day. (Crap!) In the summer, Mike coached Madan’s T-ball team. To his credit, Mike didn’t get hit in the nads once by an errant swing – too bad considering Sonali had the video camera queued up for America’s Funniest Home Videos. In August, Mike received two job offers in two different cities. Detroit was the obvious choice. The in-laws live near Philly. (Just kidding, Mom & Dad. Mom? Dad? Hello? Uh. Oh.)

Having discovered Facebook last year,
Sonali searched for ways to waste even more time in 2009. We’d like to thank Skype, Twitter and Blogger for assisting – and Cosentinos for keeping the family alive. (We love you, Chicken Romano!) Sonali is now busy painting the walls in the new home to match the walls of the old home. The plan is to move during the middle of the night so the kids don’t notice anything different when they wake up. We think it could work since they play videogames all day and generally have no idea where they are. Sonali is also taking Mike’s hard-earned money and throwing it into a new business venture – www.stinkerinkers.com. To date, she’s lost $250 and counting.

Here’s to a peaceful, joyful and beer-full holiday!

And, check out this video. So awesome. Thank you, Naomi!
